WHY IT EXISTS

There is no shortage of bold storytelling.

What’s missing is structured, early-stage capital paired with strategic development support.

Too often, projects led by historically marginalised teams are expected to prove themselves without access to meaningful development resources.

The Boomerang Fund was created to intervene at that moment.

Through a £30,000 recoupable development investment, we support teams in strengthening their scripts, finance plans, audience positioning and market readiness - increasing the likelihood of reaching greenlight.

We are not funding ideas.

We are building viable, market-ready projects - and long-term industry capacity.

WHO IS IT FOR?

The Boomerang Fund is designed for teams building projects that are ready to move through a focused development phase.

We support:

Writer–Director–Producer teams
Feature-length narrative film projects
Storytelling led by Global Majority creatives
Projects with a completed script
Adaptations with a secured option agreement (where applicable)

This fund is best suited to projects that have moved beyond early ideas and are preparing for the next stage of strategic development.

The Writer and Director may be the same person. All three roles must be attached at the time of application.

WHAT THE FUND OFFERS

INVESTMENT

£30,000 Development Investment with recoupment structured at principle photography.

DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY

Structured development roadmap, industry positioning and packaging support.

GREENLIGHT

Strategic pathway towards Greenlight.

Recoupment is on the basis of projects getting to Greenlight.

INVESTMENT STRUCTURE

The Boomerang Fund provides a £30,000 recoupable development investment to selected projects.

This capital supports a focused development phase - including script refinement, packaging, legal preparation, finance strategy and market positioning.

The investment operates as follows:

£30,000 in development capital provided by Euras Films
Recoupment triggered once the project reaches principal photography
A 30% premium applied at the point of financial close
Executive Producer credit retained by Euras Films
A formal development agreement issued prior to funds being released

The recoupment structure allows the capital to be recycled into future projects, ensuring the fund remains sustainable and able to support new teams over time.

We approach each agreement as a partnership. Full terms are shared transparently with selected teams before contracts are finalised.

We will host a live online information session for prospective applicants to the Boomerang Fund.

This session will provide a clear overview of the fund’s structure, eligibility and development expectations, including how the £30,000 recoupable investment operates and what we look for in strong applications.

The aim is to offer clarity - helping teams understand whether the fund is the right fit for their project and how best to prepare their submission.

There will be time for questions at the end of the session.

Attendance is optional but recommended.
