Sarudzayi “Sarue” Marufu is a British Zimbabwean producer and creative strategist working across film, theatre and industry-building infrastructure. She is the Founder of Euras Films - an independent production company positioned as an industry engine for historically marginalised storytellers.

 

Her work combines bold creative ambition with disciplined commercial strategy. She develops stories that are culturally urgent, globally resonant and financially viable - building projects designed not only to premiere, but to sustain careers and ecosystems.

 

Sarudzayi is a BAFTA Connect producer and a EAVE Producers Workshop participant. Her projects have been developed and presented through Berlinale EFM, Durban FilmMart, the Red Sea Fund, Film London and the BFI. She works across features, premium television and short-form work, balancing arthouse sensibilities with market awareness.

Euras Films

Euras Films was founded to do more than produce films.

 

It exists to build access.

 

The company operates as both a production slate and a talent pipeline - developing shorts, features and television projects that allow writers, directors and crew to refine their craft, test audience engagement and build sustainable careers. Each project functions as both creative output and strategic infrastructure.

 

Euras Films champions global-majority storytelling across genres, with a focus on long-term value creation, ownership and recoupment models that enable future independence.

The Boomerang Fund

In 2026, Sarudzayi launched the Boomerang Fund - a £30,000 recoupable development investment accelerating Global Majority-led film and television projects towards greenlight.

 

The fund combines capital, training and market positioning, forming part of a broader strategy to increase the number of projects reaching production while strengthening industry infrastructure from within.

Beyond Production

Sarudzayi is also Co-Founder and COO of Symphony Innovations, developing a multi-site creative and technology campus in Kenya integrating sound stages, renewable energy, data infrastructure and education. The long-term vision is to build globally competitive production ecosystems rooted in ownership, sustainability and scale.
